Just like Willie, we’re on the road again this week as Austin FC finishes off a three games in nine days away stretch. ATXFC will look to make it a perfect 3-for-3 in front of over 70,000 fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as they take on Atlanta United FC for the very first time tonight. To the research!

What is Atlanta’s Claim to Fame?
There’s a lot to choose from. Civil Rights. The 1996 Olympics. Having arguably the best aquarium in the country despite being a landlocked city. General Sherman burning the city to the ground. But I think the most widely known thing is it being the home of Coca-Cola. Which I hate to shittalk because I LOVE Coca-Cola. But also, they made a business out of putting fucking cocaine in a drink! Y’all, Tony Montana wasn’t that brazen.
What is Atlanta’s Greatest Export?
OutKast. Any other answer is wrong. I will not speak poorly of OutKast. In fact, just enjoy.
Why is the most popular team in Atlanta one that doesn’t even play in the city?
Uncle Tony P, that can’t be a real thing can it? Oh yes, yes it is. Because in Atlanta, the Georgia Bulldogs rule all. Not even Georgia Tech, a school located in the middle of Atlanta, can top Dawg fans.
Want tickets a Falcons game? Easy. The World Champion Braves? No problem. But woe be unto your wallet if the Bulldogs are in town. Y’all, Georgia fans buy season tickets to Georgia Tech just so they can have a guaranteed seat to that road game every two years. It’s insane. And also hilariously embarrassing for the pro sports landscape in the ATL.
Final Match Day Hate Rating
It’s our first game against a cross-conference foe. No real animosity, except that the MLS players voted Mercedes-Benz Stadium the #1 atmosphere in the league last year and Q2 Stadium as #2. And quite frankly, that’s some bull shit that needs to be fixed. You think you’re better than us Atlanta?! Prove it, because we brought numbers.
