Yes, there are scenarios where a draw this weekend will still have Austin FC on life support, but the most direct path to the MLS Cup Playoffs is the following:
- Win vs LAFC
- San Jose draw or loss vs FC Dallas this weekend
If those two results happen, it will set up a winner take all Decision Day match between Austin and San Jose. And considering the last few months, I think that’s the best we could have hoped for.
