Frisco is currently in 4th place due to goal differential, but tied for 3rd on points. The Sounders are flirting with missing the playoffs for the first time since joining MLS. Both teams dropping points is good for ATXFC because:

- A draw would probably get Frisco jumped by the weekend, and thus knock them out of a home playoff spot.

This is a true “6 pointer”. Portland trails Nashville by one point in the standings. The Coyotes are in 6th and the Timbers have the 7th and final post-season bid as we sit today. Neither team can afford a loss. But we also don’t want the Galaxy to sneak their way in either. I think a Portland win is the best case scenario right now. This game may go a long way towards determining who Austin’s first round opponent will end up being.
